MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota surged past No. 18 Wisconsin 23-13 to take back Paul Bunyan’s Axe and give Iowa the West Division title. Tanner Morgan overcame an interception that was returned for a first-half touchdown. He led the Gophers on three scoring drives after halftime including a third quarter touchdown pass to Chris Autman-Bell. Minnesota hoisted the 73-year-old trophy on its home field for the first time since 2003. The Gophers held Braelon Allen to 47 yards on 17 rushes. The standout freshman topped the 100-yard mark in the last seven games, all Badgers wins.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams have changed the look of their team quite a bit since their last visit to Lambeau Field. They’re about to get a good idea how far they’ve come since. The NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers (8-3) host the Rams (7-3) on Sunday in a rematch of an NFC divisional playoff game from last season. The Packers won that game 32-18. Much has changed in the 10 months since their playoff matchup. The most notable difference is the Rams now have Matthew Stafford at quarterback instead of Jared Goff.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Justin Lewis had 15 points as Marquette topped Northern Illinois 80-66. Tyler Kolek had 12 points for the Golden Eagles (6-1), who won their fourth straight at home. Stevie Mitchell added 11 points. Keshawn Williams had 17 points for the Huskies (1-5), whose losing streak stretched to five games.
