Tuesday night sees another busy schedule across Major League Baseball, including another game for a team trying to get back in the American League playoff picture, as the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Los Angeles Angels.

The night cap game will actually be the second half of a double-header, as the two teams are making up a game that was postponed back in April at 6:07 p.m.

The Jays came into the day with a 60-50 record. While they still sit fourth in the AL East, and seven games back of the Boston Red Sox, they are just three games out of a Wild Card Spot. The recent surge has been accredited to the Jays’ return home for the first time in almost two years. They are coming off a big weekend set with the BoSox. Toronto took three of four against the Cleveland Indians just before that.

The Angels have seen better days. With Mike Trout in and out of the lineup with injury, the Angels have not been able to find consistency, even with the exceptional play of Shohei Ohtani. The Angels are back to .500 after a rough May and June. They come back home to Anaheim after a three-game weekend series with a fellow Los Angeles foe, the Dodgers.
