Odds update

Ohio State had been favored by 8.5 points earlier in the week and by more than a touchdown consistently throughout the week until everyone saw the weather. The Buckeyes are now a 7-point favorite on BetMGM. Is the snow enough to slow down Ohio State’s offense?

Enjoy the best Saturday of the season

Man … the stakes, the atmosphere, The Game itself. I’m not a believer in the Wolverines’ chances, but I really can’t wait for Ohio State-Michigan and the rest of Rivalry Week. Today is really what college football is about. Enjoy it today, everyone. It only comes around once a year.

Michigan injury update

Just like last week, running back Blake Corum and cornerback Gemon Green are in uniform and warming up for Michigan. Corum has missed two games after spraining his ankle against Indiana, but I’m expecting him to play today. Safety Brad Hawkins is also warming up after leaving last week’s game against Maryland with an injury.

Ohio State injury update

Nothing too crazy on Ohio State‘s availability report. Cornerback Sevyn Banks, running back Master Teague and linebacker Palaie Gaoteote are unavailable. Gaoteote hasn’t played a ton but that’s the most noteworthy absence for me, because that leaves Ohio State with three healthy scholarship linebackers against a Michigan team that wants to run the ball a lot.

Steele Chambers, Cody Simon and Tommy Eichenberg should get a lot of work. Also look for Craig Young, who’s more of a safety/linebacker hybrid to play a good amount today.

Michigan-Ohio State prediction and breakdown

Ohio State and Michigan didn’t play last season, but the rivalry hardly went dormant. If anything, the one-year hiatus stoked the fire for Saturday’s game at Michigan Stadium, a battle to determine who will represent the Big Ten East next week in Indianapolis.

Will Ohio State’s offense annihilate another opponent? Will Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines finally reach the mountaintop? Beat writers Bill Landis (Ohio State) and Austin Meek (Michigan) discuss.

Ohio State seeking ninth straight win vs. Michigan

Ohio State enters the day having won each of the last eight meetings in the series (2012-2019), its longest-ever win streak against Michigan.

With a win Saturday, the Buckeyes would match the Wolverines’ nine-game run from 1901-09 for the longest win streak by either team in series history.
