Police investigate suspicious death in SoHo | CBC News – News Nation USA

Police investigators are looking into a suspicious death in the city’s SoHo neighbourhood after a dead man was found sprawled in the grass on the rim of Wellington Valley Park.

The area made headlines last fall after authorities allowed a number of homeless people to erect shanties along the trails and riverbanks due to COVID-19 space restrictions at local homeless shelters.

City workers have since torn down many of the structures that once dotted the area.

The London Police Service said the body was found in the grass south of the Nelson and Colborne Street intersection at about 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

The law enforcement agency said that a post-mortem examination is scheduled for Thursday and that more information will likely be released once its complete.
