MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Memphis Tigers completed play at the USA Intercollegiate on Monday at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia & The Crossings in Mobile, Ala. The Tigers finished in 13th place out of 17 teams at the event.
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Katie Stinchcomb capped an impressive collegiate debut for the Tigers, leading the team by tying for 15th place with a 56-hole score of 216 (E).
• The rookie carded a 69 (-3) on Monday to give her scores of 76-71-69, improving each day of the tournament.
• Stinchcomb carded four birdies on the afternoon with just one bogey.
• Junior Victoria England shot a 71 (-1) to end the three-day event in a tie for 32nd with a score of 221 (+5). England shot rounds of 80-70-71 over the course of the tournament.
• Playing as an individual, Brooke Veres (74) tied for 59th overall with a score of 226 (+10).
• Rebecca Brink (76) tied for 81st at the USA Intercollegiate with a total of 230 (+14), while teammate Victoria Gallegos (80) finished just one shot behind in 85th with a score of 231 (+15).
• Julia Matzat (77) tied for 88th with a total of 233 (+17).
